LOGLINE: A coming-of-age roadtrip comedy, The Redhead tells the story of Josh Duffet, 18-year-old son of a plumber in suburban
Buffalo, New York. With his plans for the future - including a football scholarship to Arizona State University - put on indefinite hold because of a shoulder injury, Josh settles himself into the rut of working for the family plumbing business until Uncle Stan, consummate car collector and Josh’s lifelong mentor, gives Josh a mysterious handcrafted racecar and sends him on the adventure of a lifetime - to see the country and discover what’s most important… himself.
The Top 10 screenplays will be announced February 15th, the Winners on March 13th. The 8th annual Phoenix Film Festival runs April 3rd through 10th at the Harkins Scottsdale 101 Theatres.
