Another Film Festival for Stabbing Stupidity

We are ecstatic to announce that our short film “Stabbing Stupidity” continues – some FIVE YEARS after it was produced – to make the rounds of the film festival circuit. After screening (and winning several awards) in Phoenix, New York, Los Angeles, Portland, and CANNES, “Stabbing Stupidity” returns to the European continent with a screening at Salento Finibus Terrae Film Festival Internazionale in San Vito dei Normani in Southern Italy!

The film screens as part of their “Reelove” (storie d’amore) section on July 26, 2011. If you happen to be traveling in Italy this summer, you can check out the event invitation on Facebook for more information.

Stabbing Stupidity

Janet is an attractive and together young woman smart enough to be cognizant of a female’s frequently precarious position in the corporate hierarchy. Steve is the business owner’s brother and an insufferable chauvinist boor. He is a figure immediately recognizable and universally loathed by every woman who has ever entered the hallowed portals of the corporate world. Tricked into lunch alone with Steve, Janet suffers his outrageous and demeaning discourse as long as she can, until she can only retreat into her imagination… A place where she can safely deal with a creature such as this. A place where she can make him sharply aware of the error of his ways.

2009 Phx Comicon

Two films at Phoenix Comicon this weekend!

It’s the Locked Horns / Lindsey Marlin killer double feature at this year’s Comicon! Our short films “Envy” and “Stabbing Stupidity” will be playing this weekend as part of the Phoenix Comicon Film Festival. The comicon is the largest comic-themed event in the Southwest and we are pleased to return to their film festival after our screening of “Snakes in a Boardroom” there last year. It’s a great pop culture event and we hope you can come out and enjoy the atmosphere and excitement – and check out some killer flicks!

“Stabbing Stupidity” Now on Mini Movie Channel

Locked Horns Productions is pleased to announce that our short film “Stabbing Stupidity” has been picked up for distribution by Mini Movie Channel – and is now available for viewing online. Mini Movie contacted Locked Horns about licensing the rights to the film after “Stabbing Stupidity” was screened as part of the Short Film Corner at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival.
